In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the surface of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light – Gen 1:1 -3
The present condition of the human society looks like that which may crash at any moment. Living a normal healthy life these days seems like an illusion. Managing work and family simultaneously has become a task which only the angels could handle. People are really finding it hard to cope.
Unemployment and underemployment are factors that are forever tightening their leash on the neck of the youths. This has seriously affected the marriage institution; who wants to add another to his overweighed burden? Politics, the lion roaring in every sphere of human endeavor, is not left out of the issue. The truth cannot be farfetched that the human society is in chaos.
The Scripture makes us to understand that when the heaven and the earth were created, the earth was without form and void; the earth was in a chaotic state. The interesting thing in this account is that in that chaotic situation, God saw a beautiful earth. God saw an earth with awesome vegetation, perfect landscape and wonderful creatures. Even though man has really tried to desecrate it through pollution and other un-environmental practices, this beautiful planet came out of a chaos.
We must come to the realization that no matter how chaotic and threatening our condition may be, something beautiful can still come out of it. Just as the darkness preceded light, chaos is the herald of peace in our lives. We can only experience a breakthrough after we have passed through the dark phase. All the mighty men of old that did exploits for the Lord also experienced the dark phase at one time or the other in their lives.
The only one that can bring about a change in our situation is God. Human wisdom is totally out of the question. We can never amount to anything in this mortality without God. Except God intervenes in our situation, darkness would continue to overwhelm us. The light can only come at God’s command: when it comes, it’s so powerful that even the darkness is confused (Jn 1:5).
Don’t ever allow the enemy to deceive you that all is lost. God can still do it. It is never too late. Invite Him into your situation and allow Him make possible that impossible.
